Fried Zucchini Sticks

Ingredients

  • ½ cup of all purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • ¼ cup of milk 1 ¼ cups of plain bread crumbs
  • 1 ½ pounds of zucchini cut into two ½ inch sticks
  • oil

Cooking Instructions

On a piece of waxed paper, combine flour and salt. Place bread crumbs on a second sheet of waxed paper. Combine milk and eggs in a bowl. Coat zucchini in flour mixture, then dip in egg mixture, and bread crumbs. Place the coated zucchini on a baking sheet and place it in the freezer for ten minutes. Heat 1 ½ inches of oil in a frying pan until hot. Working in four batches, add zucchini to the oil. Turn to cook evenly until golden brown, 2-3 minutes. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels. Serve with tomato sauce.
