Clam Sauce
Ingredients
- 2 (6.5 oz.) Cans of Gorton’s minced clams
- ½ Cup Olive oil
- 3-4 Cloves of garlic minced
- Pasta (Linguini or Angel hair)
- ½ (14 oz.) Can of Italian style peeled tomatoes with basil
- 1 Teaspoon of salt
- 1 Teaspoon of oregano
- 1 Teaspoon of dried or fresh basil
- 1 Tablespoon of Roland capers
- 3 bay leaves
Cooking Instructions
Heat ½ cup of olive oil in a pan. Sauté garlic. Strain clams, add the juice to the pan. Crush, or Blend the tomatoes and add to the pan. Add oregano, basil, capers and salt to taste. Add the bay leaves. Let simmer for 20-30 minutes on medium heat. Add clams to the sauce while pasta cook. Remove bay leaves and Pour over cooked pasta.
